Magdalena Sanchez

My name is Magdalena Sanchez, commonly known as Nena. I am presently enrolled as a student at Austin Community College (ACC), where I am diligently pursuing an associate’s degree in graphic design, with the expectation of graduating in the coming spring. I have been a lifelong resident of Austin, Texas, having lived here with my family since my birth, and I am an alumnus of McNeil High School. My artistic approach often reflects cartoonish themes, further enhanced by elements of anime. I commenced my studies at ACC immediately following my high school graduation, inspired by the influence of my brother and the economical nature of the program, which allows me to complete essential foundational coursework prior to progressing toward my associate’s degree in graphic design.

My objectives in this endeavor are to enhance specific aspects of my project designs in response to the challenges I currently face. I aspire to further refine my artistic style to attain a professional standard before entering the workforce. Additionally, I am committed to developing my public speaking skills to present information confidently and without hesitation. Ultimately, my goal is to graduate from Austin Community College and then transfer to Texas State University to pursue my bachelor’s degree, after which I intend to seek employment in my field, preferably in a remote capacity.

Upon obtaining my associate's degree from Austin Community College (ACC), I plan to further my education at ACC by enrolling in a general studies program. This decision is necessitated by the realization that certain credits earned within my graphic design curriculum will not be transferable prior to my transition to Texas State University for the completion of my bachelor’s degree. Additionally, upon achieving my bachelor's degree, I aim to pursue opportunities in poster design, branding, and packaging projects.
